Alliance has done it again, during the Portland NAC and Division I National Championships our Alliance girls competed and won the Youth-14 Women’s team epee National Championships! The Alliance team consisting of Madie Antekeier, Molly Hudson, and Ally Micek took on the highly decorated LAIFC team consisting of Jennifer Horowitz (multiple-time national champion and currently ranked as the #1 Youth-14 women’s epee fencer in the United States), Katie Angen (national champion and currently ranked as the #3 Youth-14 women’s epee fencer), and Kasia Nixon (national champion and currently ranked as the #7 Youth-14 women’s epee fencer), an extremely strong team to say the least, but of course our girls were up to the challenge. They defeated the LAIFC team 45-42.  Our girls showed incredible focus as they fought almost never giving up the lead in score for the entire bout. A major upset for LAIFC and an amazing performance from our up and coming youth-14 girls. Amazing job girls! Keep up the good work!

Alliance also had stellar performances from several of our promising youth fencers. Including  Jonathan Piskovatskov winning the youth-10 men’s epee national championship, only losing one bout during the duration of the youth-10 championships! Amazing job Jonathan!

Congratulations to all Alliance coaches, who work hard every day to prepare our youth for these national events!
