2011 Summer National Championships and North American Cup

Reno, NV

July 1-10, 2011

Alliance Fencing Academy brought its "A" game to the recent Summer Nationals and NAC in Reno, Nevada.  Out of 46 fencers 12 brought home medals and 18 earned national points.

Jonathan Piskovatskov finished his incredible season with another gold medal in Y10.  With gold medals at every national event he fenced last season, Jonathan is ranked 1st in the U.S. for youth 10 boys epee.  Outstanding! Ari Simmons also finished out the season with a bang.  His silver medal win in Youth 14 is his best performance yet at a national event.  Way to go Ari!  Madeline Antekeier won bronze in Division 1A and placed in the top 8 in cadets, which is even more impressive considering she's still a youth 14 fencer.  Nice work Maddie!  Anna VanBrummen continues to impress with a silver medal in Juniors.  Awesome job, Anna!  Jack Hudson, John Cramerus, Nicholas Wilson and Jessica Thow all did Alliance proud with top 8 performances.  Way to go guys!

All of our Alliance teams had great results as well.  The men's epee junior team brought home gold.  The last time Alliance won gold in this event was in 2007.  The women's epee junior team won bronze.  A stellar performance for this new team.  Coach Andrey certainly impressed his students by stepping up and fencing in the men's epee veterans team event.  The silver medal they won was just icing on the cake.

Congratulations to all our Alliance medalists and national points winners!!!
