Congratulation to our medallists!!!

Francesca BASSA - Silver Medal, Youth-14 Women's Epee

Dina BAZARBAYEVA - Bronze Medal, Youth-14 Women's Epee

Nathan SORENSEN - Bronze Medal, Youth -14 Men's Epee

Youth-14 Women's Epee, A-2:

In a field of 42 our fencers Francesca BASSA, Dina BAZARBAYEVA and Fleur LEUSSINK got 2, 3 and 20 respectively. Francesca was undefeated until her last gold medal bout, which she lost to Courtney Hurley 12:15. Dina surprised many of her stronger and more experienced opponents by placing third on the A-2 national event. She came 11th out of pools. On her DE bout for top 16 Dina was down 5:12!!! and then she came back and won this bout 15:13. On her way to top 4 Dina defeated #2 seeded Neely Brandfield-Harvey of Salle Mauro (Houston, TX) 14:11 on the last period of the bout. Dina lost semifinal bout to her teammate Francesca 15:12 and earned her B-2005 rating. Great job Dina!!!. For Fleur it was her first national event and she did great by winning 4 bouts in her pool and finished 20th at the tournament.

Youth-14 Men's Epee, A-2:

Only two our fencers competed in this event. Nathan Sorensen (14) got Bronze Medal and earned his B-2005 rating and Dominic Odom (12) finished 53-d. Nathan who dominated on this event came first out of pools with six victories three of which were 5:0. On his way to top 4 Nathan defeated his opponents with very impressive scores: 15:1, 15:2, 15:8 and 15:11. He lost only one bout to Joshua Dolezal (Indiana) 11:15 who took Gold in the final. This is Nathan's best result ever. Bravo Nathan!!!

Divisio-1 Men's Saber:

Joseph WYSOCKI (17) made top 32 in the field of 69 very strong competitors and then lost his DE bout on his way to top 16. Joe finished 22nd getting some points for his national Adults and Junior point standings showing great technique and stability of high class saber fencer.

Division-1 Women's Epee:

Francesca BASSA (14) competed in a field of 73 fencers. In her second round of pools Francesca won 3 bouts out of 6 and her indicator was 0. Usually that will be enough to make it to the next round but this time only 26 fencers were promoted to the DE-s. Francesca got 27th and she missed the cut by lower number of scored points to 3 other fencers who had the same indicator. We wish her a little bit more luck next time.

Division-1, Men's Epee:

In a field of 146 fencers in the nation Dillon Smith (16) passed two rounds of pools, made it to the DE-s and then lost 11:15 on his way to top 32 to the member of  US National Junior Team Christian Rivera who got Bronze medal in this competition. Collin Eaton (17) finished 58th after second round of pools. Collin didn't make it to the DE-s only by few points. This was not the best fencing day for Jonathan Bibb (17) and Nathan Sorensen (14). They both got eliminated after the first round of pools. Jonathan and Nathan placed 134th and 145th respectively.

Youth-12 Men's Epee:

Dominic Odom (12) finished 12th  in the field of 36 fencers. On his DE bout for top 8 Dominic lost 4:5 on the third bout. This is his best result on national tournaments.
