Alliance Fencing Academy saber fencer, 18 year old
Joseph Wysocki competed in a World Cup in Dormagen,
Germany on Sunday, November 27, 2005 as part of a U.S.A. delegation in the men's saber competition. Wysocki finished in 18th place out of the 109 competitors that advanced to the directed elimination round. He was undefeated in preliminary pools posting a 6-0 record and missed making the top 16 in a tough fought 15-14 bout. One USA fencer finished in the top 16, that being Matt Zich of New York.

Wysocki spent the previous week in Germany as a group of 5 USA fencers that were invited to train with the German national team.

Next on the World Cup schedule is a competition in
Hungary, then Spain.
