Alliance fencers at the 2004 Junior World Cup

Louisville, KY, Nov 5-7, 2004

Five of our fencers participated in Junior World Cup in Louisville, KY. They were, Francesca Alexandra BASSA, Jonathan J. BIBB, Dillon S. SMITH, Stephanie M. WHEELER, and Bethlehem WITTE.

In Junior Men's Epee, Jonathan BIBB made to top 32, finishing 28th, and Dillon SMITH made to top 64, finishing 47th.

In Junior Women's Epee, Francesca BASSA made top 32, finishing 22nd. She lost to Amy Orlando (ranked #2 in US junior point standings) only by one point after the bout time was expired. Stephanie WHEELER made top 50, finishing 43rd. Bethlehem WITTE did not make the cut even though in her pools she defeated a strong fencer but then things did not go well for her. Better luck the next time Bethelhem!
