Alliance had 20 entries in all but one event at the 26th annual Poujardieu Memorial Fencing Tournament held in San Marcos, TX January 28-29, 2006. This regional tournament is one of the largest of the year and includes some of the stiffest competition.
EPEE
We had 16 epee fencers competing in the Cadet and Senior events. The Senior Mixed Epee event was an A4 event – this is the highest level an event can reach. Erin Pytel earned a “D” rating after fencing epee only a few short months.

Alliance had 3 foil fencers competing at this tournament and they competed well against fencers with much more experience.

Dmytro Ivanov represented Alliance in the Senior Mixed Saber event and finished in the top 8. Congratulations!
Senior Mixed Saber (41 competitors):
Congratulations to all our fencers for their continued hard work and dedication. Alliance fencers show improvement with each tournament. We look forward to seeing what happens next.
