Andrey Geva:                Gold coach's medal

We also congratulate Andrey's former epee students Greg Micek and Neely Brandfield-Harvey from
Salle Mauro Fencing Academy for their Gold and Silver medals in Youth-12 and Youth-14 competitions.

Fencers Joe Wysocki and Francesca Bassa earned their "A" ratings along with Tim Guerinot who earned his "B".  Alliance Fencing Academy now leads the Gulf Coast Division in the number of highest rated fencers with a total of 3 "A" and 7 "B" fencers.

Epee fencer Francesca Bassa was  also awarded a patch for finishing 1st on the National point standings in Youth-12 age category.

Taking a big step forward in their saber fencing technique, Joe Wysocki and Tim Guerinot brought home their best results ever: 3rd and 7th place, respectively.

Epee fencer Bethlehem Witte missed the Cadet finals only by few points placing 9th out of 82 competitors.

Dr. John McDermott who recently joined our saber program won a medal placing 7th in the Veteran's 60+ competition, his best result at Nationals.

Greatly improved epee fencer Stephanie Wheeler competed in 6 events. She made the top 32 three times and missed the Youth-14 finals by only one point placing 9th out of 74.

Her fencing mom Suzette Wheeler won 10:2 her first round in Direct Eliminations in Veteran's 40/49 women's epee and lost her next bout to the leader of the tournament by only two points.

Dillon Smith currently ranked 6th on Youth-14 national point standings took 21st out of 127 in Youth-14 and 11th out of 194 in Division-2 Men's Epee.

Connor McMahon took 11th  place in Youth-10 Men's Epee. His brother Liam McMahon placed 28th out of 68 in Youth-12 competition. These are their best results at Nationals.

Another freshman in our Academy Shawn Right placed 36th out of 186 in Division-3 Men's Epee.

Jim Geitgey  in Veterans 40/49  took 21st in  epee and 30th in foil. He also placed 47th out of 210 competitors in Division-3 Men's Foil.

Michael LoParco fenced his first Division-1A foil tournament. Michael did a good job in pools: 3 victories and 2 losses. He unfortunately lost his first Direct Elimination bout.

Daniel Trapani who took 7th place in Atlanta 's NAC in Youth-14 missed the top 32 at the same age category only by one point on the last minute of his priority.

onathan Bibb started his first season in Juniors and Division-1A in which he placed 55th and 44th respectively.

Nathan Wang did a great job in his pool bouts, 5 victories and only 1 loss. Unlucky in  DE’s, Nathan was defeated by a strong fencer who was ranked surprisingly low after pools.

Team members Collin Eaton, Nathan Sorensen, Zion Witte and David Bibb who have brought home several good results this season also qualified and competed at the Summer National Championships.

Alliance Fencing Academy is very pleased with the performance of our students.

Thanks a lot for your hard work and dedication to the sport of fencing and good luck on your future tournaments.
